City Fire got a grant from the State to have the paramedics on EMS unit 1, EMS unit 2, EMS unit 22, EMS unit 4, and EMS unit 44 trained to be fire fighter/ paramedics. ( July 15, 2012)
City fire is changing its name to "Metro Fire". (June 22, 2012)
Pumper 708 will be posting at station 1 to fill in as tender 1, engine 702 will be at station 6 to fill in as engine 6, 705 will be posting at station 6 and be pumper 6, and 710 will be posting at station 3 and be rescue 3. (February 2, 2012)
Station 6 is online and 5 new calls added. (Feburay 1, 2012)

City bought there 2 new brush units, Tonka City EMS bought 3 new ambulances, also tanker 6 was purchased. Vehicles should be here and online in a week or two. ( January 11, 2012)
On February 1st New Automatic Aid Agreement with Mulvane, Duck, Boeing, Mid Continent Airport, and McDaniel Air Force Base will be in effect. see more information go to the information page. (January 7, 2012)
February 1st: EMS supervisor 2 will be going off line and battalion 2 will be taking its vehicle, also quint 5 will switch to quint 4 and tanker 4 will switch to tanker 5. Pickup 1 will switch to station 5 and be Brush Unit 5. (January 4, 2012)
New pictures of the stations added for 1,4, and 5. Station 2 and 3 will be added soon, station 2 and 3 are under remodel. (January 2, 2012)
Still unknown on the new trucks grant for new trucks for station 6. Reserve Pumper 708 will be posted at station 3 and engine 33 will be retired. (January 1, 2012)
